Plan Change 21 Central City Noise - Consultation open
Christchurch City Council are proposing a plan change that we fully support. The proposed changes to the Distract plan's rule for noise in the central city will help to protect established venues such as Space Academy and Darkroom, but will also help to protect future venues. It's near the finish line now and CCC need to hear what the community thinks about the proposed changes.

Our thoughts if they're helpful
- Tick "Support all or part of the plan change"
- When it asks what you specifically support you can say something like "I support the expansion of Category 1 to cover established music venues such as Darkroom & Space Academy on St Asaph St. I support the increase for night-time noise levels, and I support the ventilation requirements in these areas."
- For the question that asks the reasons for why you submitting, that's where it's awesome if our community members talk a little about themselves and why spaces like ours are important to them, and how PC21 will help to protect these spaces.
- Where it asks you to state the "the decision / we would like the Council to make is" you can write "I would like the Council to approve the proposed Central City Noise Plan Change as notified"
- Make sure your submissions are positive and kind, as any submissions that have swear words or are mean about developers or anything like that just get thrown out. If you need help with your submission please email us! Happy to answer any questions at all.
